I’ve been married to Christy for over 3 years now. We’ve been living as nomads, it seems, roaming from place to place, continent to continent attemtping to help out as we can.
In short, I’m from Texas. Texas is full of home, history, memory and friendship. I’ve longed to leave, learned to respect it for what it is, and finally, I’ve embraced it for all of the meaning that it holds.
In June 0f 2005, after 5 years, many friends, the celebration of marriage, ministry, education and ordination in Waco, Christy and I were appointed to serve overseas with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. In November of that year we left for what would be 9 months of teaching English and working with immigrants in France. In August of 2006 we left France for Thailand to work with the Upland Holistic Development Project. We lived and worked in Northern Thailand until we returned to the states in August of 2007.
Since September 2007, Christy and I have both served on staff at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Christy is the asst. youth minister and the interim minister of missions. I am serving as a Pastoral Resident.

Hey Bob,
Glad you guys are getting to spend some time with your friends from King’s Cross. I was looking at the photos. The one that is the field house titled Mae Jawn – nice backpack on the steps. It looks green with a leather bottom – gee, I have one just like it.
